Lawrence Warner Burnett is a composer living in NYC writing for solo contemporary piano. He has been inspired by Cecil Taylor, Sarah Rose Weaver, George Shearing, Thelonious Monk, György Kurtág, Helmut Lachenmann, Roscoe Mitchell, Eric Wubbels, Christian Wolff, Marilyn Nonken, Nicholas Hodges, and many others.

Burnett's first album "Wait" is available on Bandcamp, and was premiered in Brooklyn.  He is currently working on his second album.  His work finds a through-line in fragmented textures and uncertain times.
